The rate that I charge for development really depends on the scope of a project. For example I would typically charge more for projects that required advanced "outside-the-box" projects such as developing Web BOTS, Creating or Consuming of Web Services (Amazon Cloud, Ebay API, Amazon API, Google API, etc), Workflow Applications, Enterprise Migration, where as I would charge significantly lower for your typical website design projects like store front sites, ecommerce sites, etc.  My rate is typically lower then the industry standard provided my capabilties to not only write more advanced programs but also my expertise in multiple programming languages. I typically prefer long term working relationships and am always willing to do what I can to help.
