This industry is no diffferent then, well life. "You get what you pay for.." . Going with a developer based off of price can become a costly mistake.  From my expierence in the past as a Business owner seeking a website, and then later as a project manager seeking to employ developers, I have been seriously disappointed and plagued with nothing but stress every single time I went with a developer over price. There seems to a plethora of wanna-be website guys or if planned intentionally can be considered scammers/con-artist. They have just enough knowledge than the average person to sell themselves. Unfortunately those stresses and headaches as a consumer aren't typically relized until after you have paid the initial investment. The stresses include and are not limited to, avoiding phone calls, a lot of excuses, poor production, asking for more money meanwhile extending deadlines.
